The U.S. Department of Transportation introduced a new name and logo for the Vehicle Infrastructure Integration program - IntelliDrive. According to RITA, the program's renaming is intended to better highlight the full potential of technologies that enhance the safety, mobility, and convenience of everyday transportation across our nation. The Intelligent Transportation Society of America looks forward to working with the U.S. Department of Transportation as what has been known as VII moves from research to widespread deployment in the coming years.
